Biking with "Bug"

I call Jackson "bug" sometimes. It started when he was a a newborn and was so tiny I thought he looked like a little bug. I biked a lot during my pregnancy. I would often talk to Jackson (who was still in my womb) while biking to tell him about what I saw outside. I have wanted to start biking again so we got this little seat to attach to the back of one of our bikes. We went on our first ride a few days ago. He loved it! And, I love his helmet! So cute.

Blue Rose Gala

Jason and I were honored to attend the Blue Rose Gala on May 8 at the IMU. It is an event that raises money for clinical cancer research. We even got to dance a little that night. What a special evening! Thanks Jasey for going with me.

Mother's Day

We were so happy to have my family here for Mother's Day. My family loved spending time with Jackson. I'm so grateful for the influence my mom, my mother-in-law, and many other moms have had on my life.

The Beach

Jason and I grew up loving the beach. I loved being able to walk with my little boy on the beach. He loved the feeling of sand between his toes. He loved the Atlantic Ocean, though it almost claimed his pacifier. We also picked some Jackson sized seashells. What a fun experience!

The Diplomat

Jason surprised me while in Florida and took me to The Diplomat. This is a special place to Jason and me as it's where we stayed for part of our honeymoon. We ate at Links - the restaurant there - which was nothing short of amazing. Afterwards, we strolled around the golf course and Jackson even attempted to pick his mommy a flower. A wonderful evening!

Downtown Fort Lauderdale

Downtown Fort Lauderdale was a fun place to be. I loved the boutiques on Las Olas Blvd. We found a restaurant named Jackson's - how fitting! We also enjoyed walking the fun path next to the water highway where boats - some really amazing boats - dock.

Swimming

As mentioned before, Jackson loves to swim. He loves to splash the water with his hands and kick his legs. Jason and I had such fun taking him swimming while in Florida.

Arriving in Florida

Last weekend, we traveled to Florida for Jason's ARVO conference. Jackson and I decided last minute to join him. So glad we did! It was so nice to get away and enjoy the beautiful weather in the Sunshine State. Jackson was exhausted when we arrived though perked up when he had his first taste of ice cream. Loved it!

Our little surgeon

After work one day, Jason brought home his surgeon's cap and put it on Jackson. He seems to like the idea of following in dad's footsteps!
